Introduction To Handguns

Our Introduction to Handguns is designed with the novice-to-beginner shooter in mind. If the terms single-action, double-action, revolver, semi-automatic, magazine (no, not the kind you read), and various types of ammunition all sound like a foreign language to you, then this is your class! Our instructor will go over all the basics, fundamentals of firearms, and of course safety in this course. You will also learn the basics of loading magazines, proper sight acquisition, grip, stance, and shooting of a handgun.

This course is built around 2-1/2 hours. The first hour-and-a-half take place in a lecture style environment, with the last hour out in the shooting range. We can provide students with a complimentary firearm if needed (ammunition costs are extra). The skill-set learned in this course is crucial to building a proper foundation as a new shooter.

Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit

We offer an in-person renewal CCW course . Our renewal class is 8 hours long and covers all the necessary laws and rights/responsibilities of carrying a concealed weapon. You will also need to shoot all of the guns you want to have on your CCW.

One-on-One Training

We understand that not everyone is comfortable in a group environment, or has a busy schedule that conflicts with our scheduling. We can set you up directly with an instructor and you'll be able to schedule a time to meet at The Firing Line that works with both your schedule, and our instructor's.

Perhaps you have taken the Intro To Handguns class and would like to further your training, but not necessarily in the form of a group atmosphere. Your one hour will be tailored directly around what you would like to gain from that time. Working on your grip, stance, sight acquisition, better grouping, etc.
